In the wake of the unimaginably tragic synagogue attack in Pittsburgh and the apprehension of an individual who mailed pipe bombs to at least 14 targets last week – most of them White House critics – our nation’s politicians, including both parties’ leaders, have behaved shamefully, aided and abetted by the media.
Blinded by their ambitions for the midterm elections, our “leaders” have collectively, and in a rare demonstration of bipartisan behavior, trivialized these tragedies and the real and potential loss of life by trying to assign blame for the actions of two unhinged individuals.
