Taking on the challenge of improving water quality and going the extra mile to protect soil and water has long been a priority for Chad Ide, who farms in the rolling hills of southwest Iowa with his father.
Ide, from Shannon City Iowa, was recently named the 2018 Iowa Conservation Farmer of the Year for his wide-ranging conservation efforts and commitment to promoting conservation education.
During a stop at Farm Bureau Park at the Iowa State Fair, we visited with Ide about his farming operation and conservation efforts.
