A market analyst is expecting 2019 will have some challenges for agriculture. Rich Feltes with R.J. O’Brien says, “South America is on their way to a large crop. Twenty-million ton plus increase in corn, same in soybean for 2019 over 2018. We know that this China situation is still very dicey, uncertain, (and) the market is intently focused on how these trade talks are going to unfold.”
Feltes tells Brownfield the signs for reduced soybean acres in certain parts of the country remain, but not as widespread.
