An extension grain market economist was surprised by the low spring wheat number in last week’s USDA Prospective Planting report.
“I’ve been looking for a big shift in the Dakotas away from soybeans and more into spring wheat, a traditional crop for them. And we’re not necessarily seeing that there.”
