USDA’s Undersecretary for Trade is leading a trade mission to Japan next week with dozens of people from several state ag departments, businesses and commodity groups. Ted McKinney says Japan is already a top market for U.S. farm and food products “but there are many new opportunities still waiting to be tapped there.”
The announcement made no mention of bi-lateral trade negotiations between the U.S. and Japan. Ag leaders in the Midwest have been urging for those since President Trump took the U.S.
