McKinney: U.S., China trade dispute could go on for months

USDA Trade Undersecretary Ted McKinney says the dispute between the U.S. and China could go on for months.

On Monday, the U.S. imposed ten percent tariffs on 200 billion dollars’ worth of Chinese goods, which was met with retaliatory tariffs on $60 billion worth of U.S. goods.

McKinney says China must make changes before the two countries can come to an agreement.

“You can’t steal intellectual property and you can’t force technology transfer just to allow access,” he says.
