The co-founder of a lab-cultured meat company and the head of the North American Meat Institute have asked President Trump to clarify the regulatory system for cell-based meat and poultry products.
The letter from the CEO of Memphis Meats and CEO of the Meat Institute says existing laws and practices demonstrate that both the FDA and USDA have roles to play in that regulation.
The leaders say they share a desire to support innovation and feeding the world.
