The head of the Michigan Milk Producers Association is praising Senate Ag leaders for their help in making dairy protections better for all U.S. dairy farmers, “Having an improved dairy safety net and a greater access to risk management tools will benefit all sizes of dairy producers in Michigan and throughout the U.S. Michigan’s dairy industry positions itself for additional milk processing capacity. The provisions in the Senate Farm Bill will provide much needed enhancements for producers to rely on.”
Ken Nobis, on a conference call hosted by Michigan Senator and ranking ag committee member Debbie Stabenow, says they are also pleased with the provision in the Senate Farm bill encouraging milk donations to food banks.
