Michigan Farm Bureau offers stress assistance

The head of the Michigan Farm Bureau says difficult weather conditions this year have amplified the need to help stressed farmers. 

Michigan Farm Bureau President Carl Bednarski tells Brownfield

from day one of this year’s growing season, Mother Nature has been challenging

farmers and continued low profitably hasn’t helped their mental health

“Farmers are out there facing some tremendous stress right now.  They may not show it, but it’s been a long year, it’s showing and wearing on those individuals.”

He says Farm Bureau is stepping up efforts to reach those

needing help without letting pride get in the way.
