Midwest Dairy’s June Dairy Month kicked off on World Milk Day in St. Louis County. Trenton, Missouri dairy farmer Alex Peterson joined in the celebration and fundraiser in Des Peres on Saturday, “We’re partnered with Dierbergs and Operation Food Search to bring wholesome dairy products to some of their summer feeding programs that they do all over the St. Louis area to try to mitigate that, those kids that are at risk of hunger this summer.” One in five Missouri children struggles with hunger and they’re especially vulnerable in the summer.
