The CEO of Midwest Dairy hopes the pride of farmers shines through as the industry struggles through a period of low milk prices.
Since joining the Association two years ago, Lucas Lentsch has seen incomes plummet and dairies go out of business.
During times like these, he says he’s reminded of a saying.
“Passion with a purpose. And if I go back to my own family dairy farm, back when we had the bucket milkers and a stanchion barn, I would carry that stainless steel bucket of milk and pour it through the filter into the bulk tank.
