Milder to more seasonal days to start March; a more active pattern ahead across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across much of the country.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to California and environs, as well as parts of the Northeast. Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to portions of western Washington and the Rio Grande Valley.
