Minnesota Ag Commissioner Thom Petersen feels for farmers affected by last week’s storm.
“It’s just been a tough winter, and now beginning a tough spring. Just feeling for our livestock farmers especially who are spring calving, and you see a lot of the power substations in southern Minnesota poles snap.
He tells Brownfield many producers without power are relying on generators.
“A lot of times the public doesn’t realize a lot of the things that farmers spend on infrastructure so that they’re prepared for situations like this.
