The Minnesota Ag Policy bill is headed to the desk of Governor Walz. House Ag Committee chair Jeanne Poppe tells Brownfield the legislation passed both the House and Senate unanimously. “Most of it is just good policy that updates things and allows farmers to do their jobs well (and) allows the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to do its job.” She says the Ag Policy bill includes language that supports aquaculture and continues the Organic Task Force five more years.
