The EPA is drawing criticism from ag groups following the release of a proposed rule to waive E15 restrictions in eight Midwest states.
Minnesota Corn Growers president Richard Syverson says the association has been advocating for year-round E15 and he thought Minnesota consumers were going to have access to the fuel this summer.
“But the EPA, like I heard it expressed, gave with one hand and took back with the other by delaying this implementation till 2024.”
He tells Brownfield corn grower members at the state and national level are urging the Biden administration to use its emergency powers to allow E15 sales between June first and the middle of September.
