Minnesota farmer back in field as conditions improve

A farmer in south-central Minnesota is back in the field now that conditions have firmed up some.

Brad Finstad of New Ulm says his family is about half done with corn planting.

“We went from thinking we were having an early spring, to a couple of those spotty rains pushed us back here.”

Speaking to Brownfield while cultivating Monday morning, he said conditions are steadily improving.

“Every hour that goes by here today, so looking forward to planting the rest of our corn.”

Finstad represents Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S.
