A southeast Minnesota farmer has concerns about his late
planted corn.
Bill Rynda tells Brownfield there was a two-day planting window in May that allowed him to get about half his corn in. Rains then kept him out of the field until June fourth.
“I’m a little uneasy about (my) corn planted in June (because) it’s on land that isn’t as well drained. And I wanted to exchange for earlier varieties, but there wasn’t much available so I stuck with what I had on hand.
