Minnesota farmer done harvesting variable corn crop

A southwest Minnesota farmer who just finished harvesting
corn says yields were all over the board.

Mike Landuyt of Walnut Grove tells Brownfield he’s still tabulating, but overall it looks like a slightly below average crop.

“We had corn yields run from 50 bushels per acre below average, to right at average or above.”

He attributes most of the variability to planting dates that ranged from May 6th to the beginning of June.
