A Minnesota farmer is hopeful fieldwork in his area will be
underway a month from now.
Brian Thalmann grows corn and soybeans west of the Twin Cities.
“After seeing the melting the last few days, I think that is achievable in our part of the state. The further west you go and further south you go, the more snow they have and the bigger the snow banks are. But the last three to four days we’re seeing snow recede across fields.”
He tells Brownfield about half the snow covering fields near him has disappeared.
