Minnesota farmer hopes Prevent Plant harvest change is permanent

A southwest Minnesota farmer is thankful USDA’s Risk Management

Agency moved up the harvest deadline on prevent plant acres to September first.

And Paul Lanoue of Marshall says he hopes RMA makes the change permanent.

“For us to have the opportunity to make some good decisions and do what’s best for our soil, and now for us to still be able to maintain our soil health (while) making longer-term impacts to our pastures and other ground.
