A southeast Minnesota farmer says the first 15 percent of his corn acres went in nicely. Brent Mohn of Lakeville has been able to plant around rain showers since the first week of May. “It was on dryer ground, or to ground that was pattern-tiled.” He tells Brownfield the remaining 85 percent probably won’t go as smoothly. “The ground that was waiting to come up next, which is what we’re trying to work on now is heavier ground.
