Minnesota farmers maintain solid harvest pace

Harvest remains ahead of normal in Minnesota.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report shows corn harvest at 11 percent compared to one percent complete last year and the five-year average of three percent.

Soybeans are 19 percent harvested, well ahead of four percent a year ago and 13 percent normally.

Sugarbeet harvest advanced to 15 percent, potatoes are 64 percent harvested, and more than 70 percent of the state’s dry edible bean crop has been harvested.
