Many farmers in the Upper Midwest are working between rains to make up for a lost April.
Southeast Minnesota corn and soybean grower Ryan Buck says despite a late start, conditions have rapidly improved.
“Maybe it was a little damp on top, but if you got (the soil) broke open it dried out pretty fast. And now with the warmer weather we’ve been having things are going really good.”
If the weather cooperates, Buck tells Brownfield he could be done planting corn by the end of the week.
