Minnesota harvest slowed by frost, rain

Rain and frost limited some harvest activity across Minnesota last week.

USDA’s latest crop report says freezing temperatures and wet conditions made an impact, but corn harvest remains ahead of the five-year average at 31 percent.

Soybeans are 57 percent harvested, compared to 33 percent last week and the normal pace of 52 percent.

The sugarbeet harvest is 23 percent done with 92 percent of the crop rated in good to excellent condition.
