The Minnesota House passed the Agriculture Supplemental Budget bill Thursday.
Ag Committee chair Samantha Vang says the legislation builds on last year’s work and represents every corner of the state for the environment and sustainability of agriculture.
“We all share a common goal to have clean water, good food, and a strong agricultural economy. And these things make up the building blocks of Minnesota and why people continue to thrive in our state.”
The bill includes the reauthorization of the Food Safety and Defense Task Force, farm-to-school grant funding, and creates the first Spanish language commercial pesticide applicator exam.
