The Minnesota Biofuels Association is encouraging legislators to include biofuels as the state develops a Clean Transportation Standard.
Association director Brian Werner says lawmakers are considering a market-based system like California’s that rewards fuel producers for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
“Our main message in all of this is that let’s make sure we get the details right here before we move forward with something, and make sure that it works for the state of Minnesota.”
He tells Brownfield a working group established by the legislature proposed recommendations that will be used to create clean transportation policy.
