An organic fruit grower in southeast Minnesota calls the
2019 growing season very good.
Jim Riddle and his wife Joyce Ford operate Blue Fruit Farm, a certified organic blueberry, aronia berry, black currant, and plum farm near Winona.
“We’ve had an incredible fruit set. In fact, the blueberries got ahead of us because we had that week when (temperatures) got up around 100 degrees and they ripened up faster than we were ready even though we had 8 to 10 people out there picking.
