The CEO of the Minnesota Pork Producers says the preliminary

David Preisler tells Brownfield without the deal, the U.S. would be at a disadvantage to members of what is now the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership.

“And that’s really what we were after with TPP is to get to that level playing field with others, and that’s what we’ll achieve with this agreement assuming it actually gets through in Japan.”

Preisler is optimistic Japanese lawmakers will approve the
agreement before adjourning December 9th.
