Minnesota soybean development catching up

A respite from rain helped dry hay and speed up small grain
harvest in Minnesota last week.

The USDA says there were more than five days suitable for
fieldwork, which also allowed crop development to continue at a steady pace.

As of Sunday, 83 percent of Minnesota corn has silked.  That’s 10 days behind last year and nearly a
week slower than the five-year average.

The condition rating for corn is 57 percent good to
excellent.
