The Missouri
Cattlemen’s Association is hosting a profitability challenge for spring born
steers.
Coby Wilson
is the manager of strategic solutions at Missouri Cattlemen’s. He said the
challenge will provide Missouri cattle producers with data to help manage a
profitable herd.
“The idea
behind it is to show the producers in Missouri that cattle can be fed in the state
of Missouri and they can be fed profitably,” Wilson said.
Wilson tells
Brownfield the association modeled the challenge from similar programs done by neighboring
states but with an added incentive.
