Missouri corn silking is at 77 percent, 22 percentage points behind last
year. The crop is only 34 percent good to excellent, but it’s slightly better
than last week. Soybean blooming is 38 percent this week. Soybeans are 41 percent
good to excellent, which is the same as last week. Cotton is 84 percent fair to
good; none is excellent. Rice is 53 percent good to excellent. Alfalfa’s second
cutting is 87 percent finished. Missouri topsoil moisture is 84 percent
adequate to surplus.
