Missouri FFA President reaches years-long goal

The new Missouri FFA President has long maintained what he calls a service mindset.  Paxton Dahmer of Nevada, Missouri fulfilled a years-long dream with his election as the State FFA President.

“Yeah, seventh grade I set the goal to just be a State FFA Officer,” Dahmer told Brownfield Ag News at the Missouri State FFA Convention in Columbia.  “I didn’t ever think that I would be president, and to know that I am that now, it’s pretty awesome, but at the same time I think we can all lead effectively regardless of what our position is, and so I’m ecstatic to be the president, but at the same time I would have been happy with any office, honestly.”

As a seventh-grader, Paxton was at the state FFA Convention watching his brother accept his State FFA Degree, but paid close attention to what was said by the state officers that year.
