The Missouri Department of Agriculture is taking public comments the rest of this week on pilot programs for hemp production.
“We would like to remind producers that they have four days remaining to review and comment on the proposed rules that we put forth for the industrial hemp pilot program on January 2nd.” Sami Jo Freeman, department public information officer, says the proposed regulations come out of the bill passed and signed into law last year by the state legislature, which also removed industrial hemp from the definition of marijuana in Missouri.
