MO crop conditions fall on little moisture

Missouri’s crops suffered last week under hot and mostly dry conditions.

USDA says corn silking has begun in the state, about a week later than normal. Corn is rated 69 percent good to excellent, down one percent on the week.

Ninety-three percent of Missouri’s soybean crop is planted, slightly ahead of the average. Nearly 80 percent of the crop has emerged, roughly on pace. Soybeans are rated 59 percent good to excellent, also down one percent on the week.
