Legislation that would allow Missouri Farm Bureau to offer a health plan to its members didn’t make it across the finish line in the Missouri Legislature again this year.
This is the second year the Missouri Farm Bureau has asked the state legislature for support. States must have either statutory authority or a waiver from existing insurance law before a Farm Bureau can offer health care coverage.
President Garrett Hawkins says there was a hang-up in the Missouri Senate at the end of the session and he’s disappointed.
