Moisture continues to keep MO farmers out of the field

Above average moisture in Missouri over the last week kept farmers like Brian Munzlinger from wrapping up soybean planting.

“I’m not sure the total, but it seems like it rains every three days, just enough to keep us out of the field for awhile.”

The latest Crop Progress report from USDA says 55% of Missouri’s soybeans and 87% of the corn has been planted with both crops emerging. The first corn condition rating of the season for Missouri is 66% good to excellent.
