The partial government shutdown continues to restrict the availability of reports from several USDA agencies. According to the American Farm Bureau, since the shutdown started on December 22nd, 62 USDA reports from the affected agencies have been delayed, including 32 from the National Agricultural Statistics Service and 22 from the Economic Research Service. That includes the monthly Cattle on Feed report, originally scheduled for Friday afternoon. The semi-annual Cattle Inventory report scheduled for January 31st will also likely be delayed, even if the government shutdown ends before the release of the numbers.
