The USDA says cold and wet weather kept most Ohio farmers out of fields last week. There was less than two days suitable for fieldwork.
Oats are 12 percent planted, much slower than the five-year average. Winter wheat is 72 percent good to excellent.
Topsoil moisture and subsoil moisture are both 100 percent adequate to surplus.
