Soybeans were lower on profit taking and technical selling, along with a lack of follow through buying after a higher start to the session. Forecasts for many key U.S. growing areas remain generally wet, delaying planting activity. There’s early chatter about some producers switching to soybeans from corn because of the planting delays, but nothing firm. Unknown destinations bought 180,000 tons of U.S. soybeans ahead of the open, with 120,000 tons for 2023/24 and 60,000 tons for 2024/25, which starts September 1st.
