Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures and rainfall across most of the country. Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to portions of New Mexico and western Texas. Meanwhile parts of the South will have the greatest likelihood of experiencing unusually wet conditions.
