Another Illinois farmer is seeing the benefits of no-till and cover crop practices on his farm after transitioning just a few years ago.
“We’ve seen that, boy, this is a whole lot better! When those
rains come and the water is going in the ditch, the water is clean. So, we just
have to learn how to manage, how to plant the corn and the beans to make it
work.”
Dean Carrillon has dairy cows and farms 700 acres of corn, beans, wheat and alfalfa in southwestern Illinois.
