MO’s first frost is late and getting later

Missouri’s state climatologist says the state’s first frost is late and could be much later.

Pat Guinan says the normal date for the first Missouri frost is around October 11th.

“Typically, already by this time of year, we would see parts of those northern counties would be experiencing those freezing temperatures and we just haven’t seen it with this warm weather,” Guinan said.

And he said frosts will likely continue to be delayed.
