The Missouri Soybean Association’s Bay research farm is field testing emerging ag technologies.
MoSoy Director of Agronomy and Research Eric Oseland tells Brownfield Bay farm is taking a ‘smart farm’ approach to find best practices for farmers.
“Most farmers are pretty innovative, and they are very willing to adapt and adopt these new technologies,” he said. “But a lot of them are also really expensive and they’re a big investment.”
Oseland said the farm is testing technologies like…
“Spray drones and drones that can spread fertilizer or cover crop, sense crop health and determine when certain applications may need to be made,” Oseland said.
