The National Pork Board and the Pork Checkoff are investing in research focused on consumer trends in international markets.
“There are apartment buildings being built in Japan today that don’t have kitchens. Stop and think about what the implications of that mean. We really need to understand how our marketing needs to change in order to still put pork in front of these folks who love our product.”
Bill Even, CEO of the National Pork Board says the research project, named Pork 2040, will look at trends in the next 20 years in seven countries including Vietnam, South Africa and possibly China.
