The National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) has taken
offense to comments President Trump made Tuesday while talking about the trade deficit
with Japan.
NAWG CEO Chandler Goule says the President suggested Japan doesn’t want U.S. wheat.
“They just do it to make us feel okay. Which is just frustrating, hurtful, and wrong.”
Japan is the number one market for U.S. wheat, and Goule tells Brownfield the Japanese buy it because it’s among the highest quality in the world.
