More ag groups are reacting positively to the Trump Administration’s announcement this week to enter into trade talks with Japan.
National Corn Growers Association President Kevin Skunes says Japan is a top export market for U.S. corn and, for many years, U.S. corn farmers have valued that long-standing partnership. He says the NCGA has urged the administration to re-engage with Japan since Trump withdrew from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, TPP.
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) says Japan represents the third largest export market for U.S.
