Congressional staffers in DC have been updated on the impact of RFS waivers granted by the Trump EPA to large oil refineries. NCGA’s Kathy Bergren says there are a lot of issues facing lawmakers and this needs to be in front of them. “We felt that’s particularly timely given that EPA currently has 39 waiver petitions pending that the agency’s going to be making decisions on soon.” Bergren says there’s excitement and appreciation of the administration’s approval of year-round E15 but continued waivers would have a negative effect.
