With Congress raising the debt ceiling, the National Corn Growers Association says that could clear the way for lawmakers to pass the 2023 Farm Bill on time.
President Tom Haag tells Brownfield leaders of the Senate and House Ag Committee know the clock is ticking. “They understand where they have to be and I think with this debt limit, they have the reinforcements to go a little bit faster with it and hopefully we can get it taken care of.”
But, he says, there might not be as much funding available.
