The National Corn Growers Association is asking President
Trump to help corn farmers harmed by RFS waivers.
In a letter, NCGA president Lynn Chrisp said the recent exemptions
sent shockwaves through a corn industry that was already in a bad spot because
of poor weather and market disruptions.
Chrisp wrote “At a minimum, we expect any actions to
improve this situation be immediate and impactful.”
President Trump tweeted Thursday his administration is
working on a giant package to boost ethanol demand that farmers would be happy
with.
