A consultant hired by the National Corn Growers Association says developing new bio-based chemicals from corn is “where the money is.”
Nathan Danielson with BioCognito tells Brownfield technology and company demands for “sustainable” products have converged into a sweet spot for bio-based chemicals from corn, “If these are successful and we can get a sizable share of the market. We’re talking about hundreds of millions of additional bushels of corn.”
Danielson credits members of the NCGA Action Team for pushing the organization to develop new products from corn, “The growers are visionary.
